‘Faust’: Animated Series Based On Comic In Works At Sony Pictures Television From Matteo Pizzolo
On July 7, Sony dropped the news on Deadline:
” Sony Pictures Television has acquired Faust, the superhero horror comic book from writer David Quinn and artist Tim Vigil, to develop as an animated series. Godkiller writer Matteo Pizzolo will write the adaptation under his first-look deal with SPT.”
All the usual suspects in comics, tv, gaming and media have picked up on it since Wednesday’s exclusive, including comics culture maven, toy god and honorary Rebel Sean P. Aune.
So glad the secrets out.
Followers of this blog and my media page (where we’re together in a Comic Con International conversation for the history books) know that Rebel Founder Tim and I have known Matt Pizzolo for decades and we have always had a great creative conversation. Matt and I started working together in 2019 to develop media adaptations of all the original IP I have created / co-created for books and comics, so that demonstrates the trust we have in each other and our stories and characters.
