After selling out 5,000 digital copies in just over a half-hour, Vincent Zurzolo and David Quinn are proud to announce that The Addiction #2 is now on comic shop shelves! Collectors will get another exciting opportunity to pursue variant covers, as well, featuring work by Ryan Brown, Amanda Conner, RobotCat, and Andres Labrada!
This newsstand release comes after successful early sales at San Diego Comic-Con. Co-creators Quinn and Zurzolo were joined by an all-star creative team of illustrator Claudia Balboni, color artist Brad Simpson, and letterer Dave Sharpe. Balboni returns for The Addiction #2, as Niki Tino continues her war against the drug cartels who accidentally gave the doctor her chemically enhanced superpowers.
“It was really gratifying to see the initial response to Niki Tino and Enzo taking on the drug cartels. Now we’re excited to introduce Addiction fans to some of the wildest rogues to ever hit downtown NYC, as Niki and her boyfriend Enzo go up against the Candy Coated Death Trap of Mister Licorice and Bette Noir!” – Vincent Zurzolo
Collectors will be able to track down Ryan Brown’s brooding art that was originally introduced at San Diego Comic-Con, in addition to Labrada’s action-packed Thanos parody, RobotCat’s dance-happy design, and the lovestruck mayhem of Amanda Conner’s cover art. The creative team is already preparing for The Addiction #3’s next digital release via VeVe Comics, following the outstanding success of The Addiction #2’s April release.
The Addiction marks David Quinn’s return to comics after his acclaimed work on Doctor Strange and Faust: Love of the Damned. The comic is co-creator Vincent Zurzolo’s latest adventure in the industry after 25 years of leading ComicConnect as the world’s premier auction house for vintage comics and original art. Eisner-nominated artist Claudia Balboni has built an international following for her work on titles including Image’s Fairlady and Killer Queens from Dark Horse.
